Deuteronomy 31:11-12

11when all Israel comes ato appear before the Lord your God at the place that he will choose, byou shall read this law before all Israel in their hearing. 12 cAssemble the people, men, women, and little ones, and the sojourner within your towns, that they may hear and learn to fear the Lord your God, and be careful to do all the words of this law,

2 Kings 23:2

2And the king went up to the house of the Lord, and with him all the men of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem and the priests and the prophets, all the people, both small and great. And dhe read in their hearing all the words of the Book of the Covenant ethat had been found in the house of the Lord.

Nehemiah 8:3-8

3 fAnd he read from it facing the square before the Water Gate from early morning until midday, in the presence of the men and the women and those who could understand. And the ears of all the people were attentive to the Book of the Law. 4And Ezra the scribe stood on a wooden platform that they had made for the purpose. And beside him stood Mattithiah, Shema, Anaiah, Uriah, Hilkiah, and Maaseiah on his right hand, and Pedaiah, Mishael, Malchijah, Hashum, Hashbaddanah, Zechariah, and Meshullam on his left hand. 5And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people, for he was above all the people, and as he opened it all the people stood. 6And Ezra blessed the Lord, the great God, and all the people answered, gAmen, Amen,” hlifting up their hands. iAnd they bowed their heads and worshiped the Lord with their faces to the ground. 7 jAlso Jeshua, Bani, Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodiah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, the Levites,
Vulgate; Hebrew and the Levites
lhelped the people to understand the Law, mwhile the people remained in their places.
8They read from the book, from the Law of God, clearly,
Or with interpretation, or paragraph by paragraph
and they gave the sense, so that the people understood the reading.

Nehemiah 9:3

3 oAnd they stood up in their place and read from the Book of the Law of the Lord their God for a quarter of the day; for another quarter of it they made confession and worshiped the Lord their God.

Isaiah 34:16

16Seek and read from the book of the Lord:
Not one of these shall be missing;
none shall be without her mate.
For the mouth of the Lord has commanded,
and his Spirit has gathered them.

Jesus Rejected at Nazareth
